Immigration Legal Services

Immigrant Connection – Dayton is a Department of Justice Recognized Office that provides low-cost legal consultations to individuals who are seeking assistance with issues relating to immigration:

  • ^Naturalization Petitions
  • ^Lawful Permanent Resident
  • ^Employment Authorization Renewals
  • ^Adjustment of Status
  • ^Consular Processing
  • ^DACA
  • ^Temporary Protected Status

If you need advice or assistance with any of these services, or simply need help understanding what options you may have under the law, you can schedule an initial consultation with one of our Legal Representatives. During the consultation, we will carefully review your case and make sure you understand the benefits and risks associated with your situation, then offer you advice on how to proceed.

Immigrant Connection – Dayton also offers interpretation/translation services.

Citizenship Classes

Classes are 8 weeks long and prepare you for taking your exam. Each class is 2 hours long and are offered on Monday evenings. The class fee ($50) includes all the materials: workbook, civics flash cards, exam practice lessons, and mock interviews. Topics covered in the class include U.S. Government, economics & history, interview skills, English speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.

Our Team

Tamie is a DOJ Accredited Representative (DHS only) for Immigrant Connection – Dayton. She has worked in another Immigration center for two years and helped establish IC – Dayton. She has a heart for immigrants and is excited to be part of a team that also wants to help immigrants by offering high-quality, low-cost immigration legal services to the community.

Tamie has served on many missions trips and numerous organizations that serve the Dayton area. She has a degree in finance from Wright State University.

Eliana is a DOJ Accredited Representative (DHS only) for Immigrant Connection – Dayton. She prayed for months to be able to make an impact in her community, while staying close to home. She is delighted to work with the Hispanic Community in the Greater Dayton area. Eliana is blessed to be part of this wonderful project that will provide very well needed immigration legal services at low cost.

Originally from Manta, Ecuador, Eliana graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University in May 2017. She started her paralegal career in Utah and has prior paralegal experience in personal injury, working with several different attorneys in pre-litigation matters. She has over ten years of consecutive interpreting experience, working in the medical field. She began her career with Abdallah Law Offices in 2021.

Eliana enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and traveling.

Mary Jane is a legal assistant for Immigrant Connection.  After she retired she was looking for a way to use her business and IT knowledge to help others.  An opportunity arose where she could utilize these skills while helping immigrants in need. 

Mary Jane has a Bachelor Degree in Business from Miami University.  She has served various non profit organizations in the Dayton area

Rebekkah is a volunteer legal assistant with Immigrant Connection – Dayton. Passionate about cross cultural connections, she decided to start volunteering on Tuesdays. She has a degree in Nursing from Cedarville University. She service in the military and has traveled abroad on mission trips. Her experiences increased her awareness of immigrates’ unique challenges and needs. 
Rebekkah deeply loves her family and enjoys doing life with them. They are the biggest blessing. 

Steve is the site director for Immigrant Connection – Dayton.  After retiring from a career in business and IT, he asked his pastor how he could make a difference for the Kingdom.  The timing was all God’s, as several organizations had recently identified a need for immigration legal services in Dayton.  They came together and asked Steve to lead the team to launch this high-quality, low-cost service for all immigrant families.

Steve resides in Dayton with his wife, is learning (finally) how to play the piano, and spends time with his grandsons.  He is also an adjunct professor in the business department of a local college.

Legal Services

A $40 office fee is due at your initial legal consultation and must be paid prior to speaking with our Legal Representatives in addition to any office or federal filing fees that will be required for your case. Please bring all documents related to your case. Consultations are by appointment only.

Citizenship Classes

We currently partner with other organizations to offer Citizenship classes.  Please contact us for referral information
